Customer Engagement Is Going Away

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement was the terminology used to group several applications that float around the concept of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solution. These applications help your organization and its users drive sales productivity, improve marketing efforts, and capture important social insights.  The Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications included Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, and Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation. In October 2019, Microsoft announced that Customer Engagement will only be a naming convention for on-premise customers and that it would go away for online customers who instead license enterprise applications, a la carte.
